TRISTAN FREEMAN LOOKS AT A NEW TOSHIBA NOTE BOOK.
Ever since the first computers rolled of the production line, manufacturers have been trying to make smaller more convenient and more powerful systems. The latest Toshiba notebook has continued in this direction. It incorporates the speed of a Pentium processor into a machine that can be likened to a large electronic diary rather than a small laptop computer.
Portable computers are indeed the way of the future. Toshiba has recognised this and quickly become a leader in the market.The 610CT is in keeping with this tradition and Toshiba's continuous improvement strategy.

The Portege 610CT operates using a 90MHz Pentium processor.The standard RAM is 8mb expandable to 40mb, and the hard disk is 720mb.
PORTABILITY External Disk Drive
As part of the sacrifice for the size of the Toshiba, it uses an external disk drive. By providing detachable parts, Toshiba delegates the option to the owner to carry around only the essential components, therefore increasing the portability of the system.
