Korn/Ferry International Inc. and Yahoo Inc. in mid-September began cobranding Futurestep, the middle management recruiting site that had been run exclusively by Korn/Ferry, the No. 1 executive recruiting company.
The deal is central to the headhunter's strategy for bringing its full portfolio of career services to the Web, said Korn/Ferry CIO Dan Demeter.
"We have a flexible worldwide architecture that uses a traditional executive search method, on top of which we grafted the Internet," he said.
Futurestep, launched in 1998, gives 1 million registered middle managers-defined as those making $75,000 to $150,000 annually-the same range of services Korn/Ferry previously offered top executives only. Through Futurestep, job candidates can build an online digital profile that connects them to Korn/Ferry recruiters.
