Hemmings Motor News, which calls itself the "bible" of the collector car marketplace, is about to be sold to American City Business Journals Inc. of Charlotte, N.C., - the parent company of the San Antonio Business Journal
Hemmings is being acquired from the family of the magazine's late publisher and editor, Terry Ehrich.
Ehrich died in January after serving as publisher and editor of the monthly for 33 years.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Also included in the sale, which is expected to close by May 1, are two smaller magazines and a unit that publishes books and calendars featuring old cars.
