Abstract
Established by three bankers in 2008, structured investment consultancy Catley Lakeman works on behalf of a handful of banks to structure products that suit the needs of asset management companies. The company was set up on the premise that while some of the biggest names in institutional structured products banking have teams that specifically model and sell products in the institutional discretionary and small institutional market, others find that margins are too small for the number of clients they are dealing with, which is why they work with consultancies such as Catley Lakeman. In the five years since Catley Lakeman was launched, the firm has seen four successful years and a quieter one, in 2011.
