Vacuum maker Hoover is launching a new three-in-- one floorcare machine, the Floor Mate, which represents the company's first category intro in seven years.
An upright vacuum that also washes and dries hard floors, Floor Mate is Hoover's first new floorcare product since 1994's SteamVac extractor, said Lynne Dragomier, vp-administration at Canton, Ohio-based Hoover.
The item emanates from a strategic alliance with household product maker Reckitt Benckiser.
