Duffy & Shanley Changes Hands
BOSTON-David Duffy, 60, president and chief executive of Duffy & Shanley, will sell his majority ownership stake in the 35-person agency to a three-man partnership comprised of senior staffers. Bob Newbert becomes chief executive, Peter Marcionetti becomes chief creative officer, and Duffy's son, Jonathan, becomes president. David Duffy plans to remain chairman for five years and focus on strategic consulting. Clients of Rhode Island's largest shop include The Providence Jou=4 R.I. Economic Development Corp., Saga Software and Swarovski.
