Housing unit vies with nonprofit for FW tract

FORT WORTH - The Fort Worth Housing Authority and a nonprofit redevelopment association, Fort Worth South Inc., are competing to buy an undeveloped, 9-acre tract from the city.

The land is south of downtown at the northeast comer of Forest Park Boulevard and W. Rosedale Street.

Mike Groomer, assistant city manager, said he is talking with the housing authority about the land and has not scheduled any dates to talk with representatives of Fort Worth South.
