How to create animated GIFs in Photoshop Elements

Photoshop Elements is a powerful image-editing program, but its capabilities extend beyond photo touch-up. By combining the program's advanced Layering options with the built-in animation tooLs, you can quickly create a GIF animation for use in a computer sLideshow or on the Web.

Prepare the image

1 Open the image in Photoshop ELements and rotate, touch up and crop as needed.

2 Resize the image for screen resolution. Go to IMAGE - RESIZE - IMAGE SIZE and change the resolution to 72 pixels per inch. Set the height and width to the desired size. When you are done, resave the image under a new name.

Time to Layer

3 Go to LAYER -> DUPLICATE LAYER, name the new Layer and click OK....
