Training Cost Control
With slim training budgets that are sure to be on a diet for months to come, strategies that can trim costs and increase efficiencies for programs for which you can get budget approval are a valuable commodity indeed.
Anne Monahan, manager for instructional design in the corporate training department at investment management firm T. Rowe Price (Baltimore), found a way to source training programs with virtually no legwork on her part. Better yet, she was able to handle the sourcing part of the process online, using FindLearning.com at no cost to T. Rowe Price.
Sourcing soft skills training. Monahan needed to provide a business writing course for supervisors and subordinates. She did not have the in-house expertise, or the time, to build the course internally, so she tried FindLearning.com, a company that connects training and corporate managers with classroom and online training through a network of more than 250 learning providers.
