The Intercontinental Exchange’s European clearing arm is to hire ABN Amro Clearing’s former chief risk officer and board member Boudewijn Duinstra to run risk for the US exchange’s London-based central counterparty.
Duinstra is set to join London-based ICE Clear Europe as its chief risk officer in the coming months, according to sources who said he is relocating to London after stepping down from his Amsterdam-based post at ABN in September.
A spokesperson for the Intercontinental Exchange declined to comment.
The senior appointment is a timely boost for the US exchange group which has seen a senior management overhaul at its main European clearing house in the past year.
