An Idaho Falls manufacturer of nutritional, pharmaceutical, personal care and household cleaning products is ranked No. 4 in the nation in absolute dollar growth and No. 5 in job creation by Inc. magazine, hitting the most categories of any Idaho company on the list.
The Inc. 500 Special Issue which will hit the newsstands on Oct. 4 lists Melaleuca, Inc., the exploding Idaho Falls growth company, for the fourth consecutive time in the annual listing of the fastest growing private companies in the nation. Only 2 percent of the companies who have made the list have ever achieved four-in-a-row status.
Melaleuca, a consumer direct, network marketing company founded in September 1985, also ranks No. 138 in growth as a percentage increase of sales on this year's list of America's top 500 fast-growth private companies.
"We were pleased to see such a high ranking in both job creation and absolute dollar growth," said Frank L. VanderSloot, Melaleuca's president and chief executive officer. "These rankings are really a tribute to the big work ethic in Idaho and the excellent business climate. I think this will send the message to business professionals across America that Idaho is a great place to grow a business."
