AccuSet Plus family of capstan imagesetters includes the AccuSet 800, 1000 and 1500, 1000 Wide and 1500 Wide models. All are upgradeable throughout the line. Imaging system with repeatability of one mil over eight separations; screen rulings to 200 Ipi. Step-and-repeat and online processing. Supported by Agfa's Alliance recording film and paper, CristalRaster screening technology, Setprint polyester plate material and range of RIPs. AccuSet 800: 14" wide output at 600 dpi, 1,200 dpi, 1,800 dpi and 2,400 dpi. AccuSet 1000: 14wide output of B&W and color separation files at five resolutions from 600 to 3,000 dpi; can be teamed up with Agfa's Adobe RIPs. AccuSet 1500: optics system with 27,000-rpm spinner that enables it to image 50 percent faster than the 1000. The AccuSet 1000 Wide and 1500 Wide are the same models as the 1000 and 1500, except for a width of 14.5" film, 14.48" image width, capable of running media thicknesses of four, five, seven and eight mil.
SelectSet Avantra drum image-setters for high-volume. applications. New imaging system teams self-controlled magnetic laser and optics transport design with adaptable, self-correcting aperture system. Combines long life and dependability of laser diode imaging with high quality of HeNe output. SelectSet Avantra Model 25 (outputs 18x25"), Model 30 (25x30" imaging area) and Model 44 (36x44.5" imaging area). Four resolutions: 1,200 dpi, 1,800 dpi, 2,400 dpi and 3,600 dpi; repeatability of +-0.2 mil over eight separations. Phoenix family of internal drum imagesetters provides plate-ready films or press-ready polyester plates. Two models: the Phoenix 2000 is a 20x27" formal imagesetter for four-up applications; the Phoenix 2250 is a 22.5x29.375" format model that matches the standard format of most mid-sized, four-up sheetfed presses. At the heart of the Phoenix lies an advanced imaging system featuring a lightweight beryllium mirror and a 68,000-rpm spin motor. Patent ed buffer system also enables jobs to proceed in parallel.
