Call for submissions
The Australian Institute of Project Management is calling for submissions to the 2006 Project Management Achievement Awards. The awards honour and recognise excellence in project management at state and national level. Categories include Change Management, Construction, IT, Product Development and Regional Development. From these a national Project of the Year is also selected. Entries close on 1 June 2006. Visit www. aipm. com. au
New President for PCNZ
Russell Bennetto, managing director of Busck Prestressed Concrete, was elected president of Precast New Zealand (PCNZ) last November, after the resignation of former president, Murray Ford.
Atkinson leaves Council
After three years at the Green Building Council of Australia, Maria Atkinson is leaving the organization to take up the role of global head of sustainability for Lend Lease. The Council expects to name an appointment to a new position of chief operating officer soon.
