Indy Connection Limousine Inc. has acquired one of its largest competitors here and is laying the groundwork for a $3 million, five-city expansion in 1988.
Locally based Indy Connection bought Five Star Inc. from brothers and former Indianapolis Checkers hockey players Charlie and Paul Skjodt. The sale, completed the first week of April, grants the Skjodts options to purchase part of Indy Connection in the future.
The addition of Five Star's seven cars gives Indy Connection a 23-car fleet in a city where most limousine services maintain eight- and 10-car fleets.
