ProSolutions Software Inc., manufacturers of the popular allinclusive salon software Transcend, is coming back strong in 2014 with new products and more public appearances at industry events after a brief hiatus from trade shows. Next up for ProSolutions is Premiere Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL from May 31 to June 2. American Salon Senior Editor Jolene Turner spoke with co-owner Matthew L. Wiggins about the company's history and his plans for the remainder of the year.
Q: When was ProSolutions Software Inc. founded?
MW: ProSolutions Software Inc. was incorporated by the three Wiggins brothers (Brent, Stephen and myself) nine years ago; however, ProSolutions Software (formerly ProSalon) has existed in one form or another since the mid-'80s. Brent and Stephen had been employees of ProSalon since the mid-'90s, and near the end of the '90s brought me in to work in sales. In 2005, seeing a real need in the industry for new features and technologies that weren't being met, we purchased the assets of the company and moved forward. With the new Structured Query Language (SQL)-based system and the unparalleled DARCI (Daily Automated Reminder and Client Information) system we've achieved our goals, with 2013 being the most successful year in company history.
