Abstract

Some VoIP operators were concerned that using a VoIP-specific code "might appear to carry negative connotations for some consumers," ComReg Chairman John Doherty said, but the regulatory body expects "that in practice the opposite is more likely to happen" as users associate VoIP services, and the code, with added features and capabilities.
