Abstract

Some of the steps a company can take to get control of its transportation program and allocate transport expenses down to the SKU level, accounting for weight cube, route segment, and mileage, include: auditing bills to confirm the number of SKUs; assigning vendors and zip codes to each item, inputting the details of each shipment; and merging that data with carrier rates by zip code.
