The Class of 2008 is a recurring series profiling the women and men who joined the AHA board this year.
John W. Bluford, CEO and president of Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, MO, brings to the AHA Board a strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing America's urban safety net hospitals. He looks forward to helping the board "shape a national health care policy that eases the burden of uncompensated and undercompensated care for all of our hospitals, but particularly for the nation's safety net providers."
