Jim Justice has added a new hospitality property to his West Virginia portfolio.
The owner of The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs said March 31 that he has acquired a 92.5 percent ownership in The Resort at Glade Springs at Daniels in Raleigh County.
"My whole thing is to do something that is good for the people of West Virginia," Justice said in an interview. "To me, this gives us a whole new marketing spin, a new adventure outpost."
Justice said he acquired controlling interest in Glade Springs from a European investor and Bill Bright, the Summersville businessman who has had an interest in Glade Springs and Winterplace, a nearby ski resort, since the 1990s.
The acquisition involves the resort's golf courses and other recreational and hospitality assets, including a hotel, clubhouse and rental lodging properties, Justice said. Cooper Development will...
