Kate McVey has joined the Austin Business journal as Focus Editor.
In her new position, McVey oversees the weekly Focus sections, which take in-depth looks at different sectors of business, such as technology, health care and real estate. She also is the main editor for all special publications.
Most recently, McVey was copublisher and managing editor of the Zapata County News, a weekly newspaper in South Texas.
