The worst aspect of leadership is the lack of time for family and a social life, according to nearly half of those questioned in a survey carried out among business executives, company chair and directors. Organizers of the Leaders in London International Leadership Summit commissioned the survey, which questioned 1,000 leaders predominately in the age group 40-45. Of these, 65 percent were male employing over 500 people, and 46 percent claimed that lack of social life was the biggest downfall of being a leader. This was significantly more than the 37 percent who said it was politics. But between these two there was a huge gap between the other categories of responsibility, visibility, criticism, liability and the likelihood of being fired, which each took only four percent or less of the votes.
