Building materials retailer Lanoga Corp. has a new chief executive, drawn from the supplier side of the industry.
Replacing current president and CEO Daryl Nagel is Paul Hylbert, the president of top fastener supplier PrimeSource in Carrollton, Texas. Nagel, a company lifer who has held the top post for 14 years, will stay on until March to smooth the transition.
The change marks a new era for the Redmond-based owner of Lumbermen's Building Centers, which has a long history of promoting from within. With 193 locations and a projected $1.3 billion in sales this year, Lanoga is one of the state's largest privately held companies.
Nagel's retirement has been long-planned, and Nagel said he chaired the search committee assigned to the task of locating his replacement Hylbert seemed to fit the bill to head a growing lumberyard chain...
