Abstract
RC Dock Europe, part of RC Dock USA Inc, has delivered two fully automated launch and recovery systems (LARS) for Fugro's new ASVs. Designed to be used in rough offshore conditions and operated from a moving support vessel, both LARS are fully automated and feature an open design, making it suitable to receive ASVs with different types of keel-mounted payloads up to a weight of 6 tons. A patented lock and release system consists of a series of special designed magnets activated by sensors and controlled by RC Dock's software.
