M. Craig & Company Cabinetmakers has graced Columbia with its presence for over 30 years. Its founder, Michael Craig, produced unique, hand-crafted furniture in the back of his father's warehouse until he met the person who would bring attention to his work and love into his life.
Rosemarie MacFarlane's reverence and respect for exceptional joinery, her passion for fine art, and her keen business sense meshed well with the modest artist's creativity. In time, they married and began raising a family of five children, as well as a prosperous company. Rosie soon persuaded Michael to expand their local furniture enterprise into the national market. With showrooms now in seven states, M. Craig and Company's gold-etched logo is becoming a familiar sight. But to get a deeper look into M. Craig and Company, one must know the person who kept the legacy alive, even after the tragic death of her spouse in a London automobile accident in 2002.
