Betsy Rader became a lawyer to solve problems and to help people. She's done just that in her professional career and in her nonprofit affiliations. In December, she was promoted to vice president and general counsel at Locum Medical Group, a Beachwood-based physician recruiting and placement company. And last month she was elected vice president of the board for the Friends of CASA for Kids of Geauga County.
The nonprofit, which she helped to found, promotes awareness about child abuse and raises funds for a separate organization, CASA for Kids of Geauga County. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. The group provides guardians ad litem for abused and neglected children.
Ms. Rader, a Russell Township resident, will coordinate the CASA vice presidential appointment with about 15 other community responsibilities, including her election in January as vice chairwoman of the Russell Township Zoning Commission, and existing board appointments to...
