Mark Lessard had a nice holiday surprise when he found out in late 2008 that he would be made a partner in aircraft finance at Pillsbury in New York.
He received the call at 11pm while enjoying a quiet dinner with friends in London. The dinner turned into a celebration.
During his first two years at Pillsbury Lessard focused on merger and acquisitions, export credit financings and aircraft securitizations. "I've done a little bit of everything on the aircraft side," he says.
But it was after his secondment to Airbus in 2004 and 2005 that Lessard decided to specialize in aircraft...
