CARY - Applied Micro Circuits Corp.'s Raleigh operation is prepping for a telecommunications industry turnaround by consolidating and expanding its two local offices.
The network chip supplier's 44 Triangle employees have been operating out of offices totaling 12,000 square feet in north Raleigh and in Cary. AMCC officials signed a lease Sept. 29 to consolidate and expand into 14,000 square feet in the Centre Green II office building off Weston Parkway in Cary.
"There will be additional room for growth, but it's modest," says Joe Rash, director of engineering for AMCC's Cary office. "Consolidation is the prime motivator of this move."
