GREATER METROPLEX - The electronics-distribution branch of General Electric Co. will move Questron Technologies Inc., a $90 million Florida logistics company it bought last month in a Delaware bankruptcy auction, to the Metroplex.
The move, which involves wrapping Questron into the newly formed GE Supply Logistics L.L.C., also may impact Questron's logistics operations at Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
Officials of Shelton, Conn.-based GE Supply, the parent of GE Supply Logistics, spent several days in the Metroplex the week of June 10-14 discussing its next move, following the May 3 purchase of Questron for $86.7 million in cash, the assumption of $1.3 million in leases, contracts and other obligations and agreements to make another $2 million in deferred payments, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
