IN THE FEW YEARS that it has been shipping, Lotus Organizer, the Windows-based successor to Lotus Agenda, has won a wide audience. Now, Lotus is about to release Organizer 97, a personal information manager redesigned for the 32-bit Windows 95 environment.
Organizer 97 features all the typical date-book characteristics, such as Alarms, Calendar and a "to-do" list, but also features an area where users can be reminded of anniversaries, birthdays and the like.
Organizer was installed on a Compaq 486 with 16 Mbytes of RAM and a 540Mbyte hard drive running Windows 95. Installation was easy, using 17 Mbytes of disk space and requiring just...
