An advertising gimmick offering free airfare is turning into a costly legal nightmare for Luskin's Inc.
The consumer electronics retailer continues to face a potential multi-million-dollar payout after a Maryland appeals court this week sent a deceptive advertising claim against Luskin's back to an administrative hearing.
If found to have violated the law, Luskin's could be required to provide free airfare for two to Hawaii or other sun-drenched places promised in ads for customers who made purchases of more than $200.
The Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division estimates that between 5,000 and 10,000 customers could be affected by...
