TELECOMWORLDWIRE-(C) 1994-9 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD M1, a mobile and paging service in Singapore, has partnered with Overseas Union Bank's subsidiary OUB Securities to offer a new share trading service. With OUBS Mobile customers can buy and sell shares via their mobile phones without having to contact their stockbrokers. The service can also be used to check stock prices. To keep the system secure and confidential customers need to enter a PIN code every time they use it. OUBS Mobile is available on the Motorola V series and the Nokia 6150 mobile phones. Customers are charged a one-time registration fee of SGD10 and a monthly subscription fee of SGD3. Every trading transaction costs SGD0.10, but M1 has waived this charge until March 2000.
