Only by understanding our customer requirements and constantly adding new capabilities can we hold good customers, says Nelson Byman, president of MIC Group (Brenham, TX), which he describes as a large one-- stop precision machine shop. MIC Group started out in 1963 as Magnetic Instruments Corp., focusing on small electro-- mechanical assemblies, and makes precision machined components. The shop counts as customers companies including Schlumberger, Halliburton and Baker Hughes in oil service; Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, and Wyman Gordon in aerospace; and Rolls Royce Allison and Active Power in power generation.
