The producers of the Short Cinema Journal are attempting to create a new type of relationship with video customers.
The journal takes advantage of DVD's easy chaptering and ample storage to produce a magazine-style collection of rare short films, interviews and art pieces. By April, the producers expect to produce a new "issue" each month.
