Manufacturing firms in Parry Sound may be small and only employ a handful of people each, but they are developing niche markets and taking advantage of a changing economy.
Kropf Industrial Inc. was a steel caster and fabricating outfit before the company's managers realized demand existed for hydraulic trailers. Owner and president Peter Kropf says that once the demand was appreciated the company set out to make a prototype.
