Mike Maroone, COO of AutoNation Inc., said the dealership group intends to proceed cautiously in reducing its reliance on third-party online shopping sites.
Asked last week about CarMax Inc.'s recent return to AutoTrader.com and Cars.com after more than a year away, Maroone said AutoNation can build website traffic without dumping the third parties.
