Mattress company opens two more stores in Memphis area

Houston-based Mattress Firm is poised to open its fourth and fifth stores in the Memphis area - just slightly more than 18 months after entering the market.

The new 4,000-square-foot stores are opening in the Bartlett Towne Center and the Southlake Center in Southaven, which are under construction by Clary Development Co.

The company, which operates 227 stores nationwide, has stores at Stage and Germantown Parkway in Bartlett, 4629 Poplar and 6330 Winchester.

Executive vice president Steve Sullivan says the Bartlett store should be open within two months, and the Southaven store should open within four months.
