NAS 4700 overcomes security weaknesses, scalability limitations
Maxtor's MaxAttach NAS 4100 leverages features found in Windows 2000 Server to overcome many security and scalability limitations of the other units on the market.
Based on Windows 2000, the product supports Active Directory (AD), the domain model or workgroups, which eases security integration and provides scalable storage.
NAS units based on customized versions of Linux or Unix often lack support for Microsoft's AD service and Novell's NetWare Directory Services.
