Last week, Metro finalized a deal to acquire 62.6 acres of the Beaver Creek Greenway Corridor from Mt Hood Community College. The space, valued at $196,020, is one of the last major acquisitions in Metro's $135.6 million open spaces acquisition program that began in 1996.
Though owned by the college, the land was both in the city limits of Gresham and the city limits of Troutdale. All metro open space acquisitions require that a local jurisdiction act as the governing body of the property - in this case determined to be Troutdale - so...
