SYRACUSE - Meyers RV has been bought out by Holiday Holdings Co. and both companies couldn't be happier, officials say.
"It's a very positive takeover," says Mark Calzone, controller at Meyers RV headquarters in Caledonia. "They are letting us keep our name and giving us a territory - the entire Northeast - to grow and expand what we've already done."
In March, Holiday Holdings Co., based in Lincolnshire, Ill., acquired all of Meyers RV's assets. Meyers RV generates about $150 million in revenue and has six locations across New York; this includes locations in Caledonia, Churchville, Hamburg, Lakeland, Bath, and the one located at 7030 Interstate Island Road in Syracuse. Holiday Holdings is keeping all of Meyers' 200 employees, including President Mark Meyers, and is encouraging the company to expand aggressively in the Northeast.
