Council should have known all the deals that were being entered into
The Toronto Computer Leasing Inquiry, which has since become a criminal probe, will be expanded to include consulting contracts with not only MFP Financial Services but with Beacon Software Revenue Systems, Ball Hsu Associates Inc. and Remarkable Software Inc. as well.
It is expected about 30 people will be questioned throughout the inquiry.
The details of the controversial computer hardware and software leasing deals have haunted the city for more than a year.
The inquiry will attempt to determine why the City of Toronto paid more than $85 million to Mississauga leasing company MFP Financial Services for computers and software contracts originally priced at $43 million.
