The MGM MIRAGE owns and operates some of the most prestigious hotels and casinos in Las Vegas - The Mirage, Bellagio, Monte Carlo- but until recently, its signage system was anything but prestigious. The original signage included static pieces such as etched metal plates and paper posters. As communication needs increased, the MGM MIRAGE realized that the system was cluttered, confusing, and not easy to update.
A main area in need of work was wayfinding. "One of the top challenges we wanted to address was making it easy for guests to view dinner options, peruse menus, and even make reservations. As guests stroll through the lobbies, this needs to be a simple process that is both inviting and appealing," said Randy Dearborn, vice president of Multimedia for MGM MIRAGE.
