More bridesmaid than bride, the Micron TransPort Trek 2 is a solid notebook that could be better. But when you factor in its price, it's a bargain. We tested a model with a 400MHz Celeron processor, a 6.4GB hard drive and 64MB of RAM. It's also available with a 400MHz Pentium II and a 14.1-inch display.
This notebook is the tallest of the ones we review here, by 25 percent; it's a full 2 inches thick. At 8.1 pounds, it's also the heaviest. But it's the only one that comes with both a pointer stick...
