It's refreshing when a notebook comes along that isn't just another black box, and the Micron TransPort TREKI's interesting curves and a splashy speaker design give it a breezy look.
From the top, the TransPort TREK2 is about the same size as the Dell Inspiron 7000, but it's nearly half an inch shorter when closed. And the TREK2 weighs 7.7 pounds -less than any of the big-screen notebooks we tested in September. Even the 0.8-pound power brick is lighter than most.
