Microsoft Ventures, the software giant's newly formed investment arm, has made its first bet on startup SkyGiraffe, whose platform securely extends on-premise enterprise data and apps directly to mobile devices. The total amount of the strategic investment was not disclosed . Privately held SkyGiraffe previously raised seed funding from 500 Startups and angel investors.
