Providing Wireless Communications Solutions to the Region

What began in 1996 as a cellular and paging kiosk in the Martinsburg Mall has matured into a wireless communications company with over 60 employees and 14 stores in the 4-state region. Mid-Atlantic ProTel provides local consumers and business professionals with a variety of wireless communication solutions including cellular, paging, broadband Internet and a 24/ 7 telephone answering service.

"When most people hear the name Mid-Atlantic ProTel, they only think of pagers and cell phones, but we offer much more than that," says Marketing Director Dana Barkdoll. "We provide the 4-state region with a variety of communication services all available from one company."

In 2003, Mid-Atlantic ProTel started a new broadband Internet service from the ground up. "BreezeLink is currently available in Berkeley and Jefferson counties and we look forward to expanding our service to other areas in the future.

Broadband Internet service allows multiple pieces of data to be sent simultaneously, increasing the rate of transmission. Users can send and receive e-mail, download files, view websites and conduct online transactions with blazing speed, downloading and uploading files in seconds rather than minutes.
