They're also teaching children about giving
PRNEWS WIRE-Arlington, Va.-based consumer protection nonprofit Better Business Bureau says results of a recent national survey conducted through its xGive.org charity evaluator provide new insights into generational differences in charitable giving habits.
The findings, collected online from just over 1,000 American parents, show that millennials- those born between 1982 and 2002-are the most likely to do background research on charities before donating.
According to the survey, half of millennial parents always research charities before donating, compared to 37 percent of both Generation X-born between the mid-1960s to the early 1980s- and baby boomers-born from the mid-1940s to the early 1960s. About 30 percent of the silent generation-born from the mid1920s to the early 1940s-says the research.
