MindBox, Greenbrae, Calif., has been looking forward to MBA Tech in Phoenix this year as a good place to show off its new Power Editor that allows business users to configure its newest ARTEnterprise release - without writing code.
"Our new editor allows a business user to build and maintain the policies in the automated system," said MindBox president and CEO Rich Barfus. "It's no longer necessary to go to an IT professional to change rules." Users cannot only maintain current rules, he said, they also can add new rule types and rule sets. "We have several customers using the Power Editor and putting policies into their system. It's much like working with spread sheets," said Mr. Barfus.
The MindBox system, which uses artificial intelligence to support systems like Countrywide's CLUES automated underwriting system, is very complex. That means creating the editor function "was a difficult problem to solve,"...
