How I got here (education/experience): I attended Indiana University for four years and obtained a bachelor of science degree in biology. I then proceeded to graduate school at Purdue University and obtained my doctor of veterinary medicine degree.
While in undergraduate school, I worked and volunteered at numerous veterinary clinics and the local animal shelter in Bloomington.
What I like most about my job: Working with one of the things I enjoy most in life: animals. When I was growing up, I spent many hours playing with and caring for my pets. I quickly learned that when things weren't going well or I had a bad day, I could always count on my dog or cat to lend me support and make me smile.
Taking care of "family members" is very rewarding. Watching families bring in young puppies and kittens and seeing them grow and develop throughout the years is an enjoyable experience. I see myself as a child in the faces and the curiosity of...
