A trio of Mitsubishi GSM wireless phones and the company's first trimode TDMA/CDPD phone will ship in the fourth quarter.
The company also announced shipments of its first TDMA trimode phone, which was unveiled last year and is now available to BellSouth subscribers.
One of the company's new GSM phones is Mitsubishi's first phone with user-interchangeable faceplates. The other two GSM models are Mitsubishi's first wireless phones to incorporate a calendar function.
One of the calendar-equipped GSM phones, the G410, is the company's smallest and lightest phone to date. It weighs 3.5 ounces with standard lithiumion battery delivering up to 90 minutes of talktime or more than three days of standby time. It also features passive flip, five-line electroluminescent display, soft keys, user-programmable shortcut key, calculator, and built-in vibrator.
