The ubiquitous neighborhood 7-11 continues to find creative and useful ways to endear itself to consumers.
Its latest enticement is an electronic kiosk that lets customers cash payroll and personal checks, purchase money orders, and pay bills in a single ATM-type transaction.
Vcom, 7-11 shorthand for virtual commerce, is available in 18 stores in Colorado Springs and two in Pueblo, and 980 other stores nationwide. After the first of the year, customers will also be able to Cash tax refund checks in amounts up to $2,000.
"What is exciting about this service is that it makes these transactions so convenient, and that they are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week," said Jay Geisen, managing director of Vcom Services for 711.
